What areas do we cover?
At
Pennington Hennessy we focus on Professional services
clients. About 70% of our clients are law firms, 30%
are accountants and property companies/surveyors.
We enjoy the challenge of working with experienced,
academically strong and successful people. Such people
often exhibit cynicism and voice continued challenges,
which is why many interventions have failed for them.
This means that we have to be at our very best for each
and every client contact, and really know what we are
talking about.

Leadership/Management
Most of our clients did not choose a leadership or management
career in the first instance. They wanted to be experts,
left alone to give high quality advice to good clients.
This means that many standard courses – often
written by Alpha-type males – are inappropriate
and even damaging. We understand the subtleties of leading
within a professional environment, so aim to develop
the skills, knowledge and attitudes required to enable
the firm or company succeed in its own terms. View

Business Development
Within professional services we have seen the pendulum
swing from marketing – business development –
account management – relationship management –
sales, as firms realise that success can only come from
their partners actively engaging with clients and selling
value IN THE CLIENTS' EYES. There is a huge overlap
between people skills and sales skills, and we are uniquely
placed to provide joined-up training in both arenas.
We currently provide sales training to over half our
clients, in addition to leadership/management.
